ABOUT US

Revive Ink Studio, LLC is a veteran- and woman-owned studio specializing in permanent makeup, scalp micropigmentation (SMP), and restorative pigmentation. Serving Madison, Huntsville, and North Alabama, we provide personalized care to help you feel confident in your skin. RESTORE • REVIVE • RENEW FAQ What is Revive Ink Studio? Revive Ink Studio is a veteran- and woman-owned cosmetic and restorative tattoo studio serving Madison, Huntsville, and North Alabama. We combine artistry and personalized care to enhance features, soften the appearance of certain scars, and create natural-looking definition. How do I know which brow service is right for me? Microblading and nano brows create the appearance of individual hair strokes. Powder or ombré brows create a softly shaded look, while combination brows blend strokes and shading. We’ll discuss which approach may suit your skin, existing brow hair, and desired finish. Does lip blush make lips bigger? Lip blush enhances color and definition; it does not add physical volume. We’ll discuss your natural lip tone and the result you’re hoping to achieve during your consultation. Can I combine services? We can discuss a coordinated plan for multiple services, such as brows and lips or SMP and suitable scar camouflage. Whether treatments can happen at the same visit depends on the areas involved, appointment length, and healing needs. Can every scar be treated? No. Suitability depends on the scar’s maturity, color, texture, location, and condition. We need to assess the area before recommending treatment. If a scar is still changing or there are concerns about healing, we may recommend waiting or speaking with your medical provider. Can I have areola tattooing after breast reconstruction? It may be an option following implant-based or flap reconstruction, including DIEP or LAP flap procedures. Suitability depends on your healing, skin condition, surgical history, and medical team’s guidance. Let us know about radiation treatment or any planned revisions so we can discuss appropriate timing. How long after surgery or radiation should I wait? There is no single waiting period that is right for everyone. Your treatment area must be fully healed, and timing should be coordinated with your medical team and artist. Completing a minimum number of weeks after surgery does not automatically mean your skin is ready for tattooing. Can you work over previous permanent makeup or tattooing? Sometimes. Existing pigment, placement, saturation, and skin condition affect what is possible. Please tell us about previous work before booking. Some areas may need correction, lightening, removal elsewhere, or additional healing before we can proceed. How long will my results last? Pigment can soften, fade, or shift in appearance over time. Longevity varies with the service, skin, sun exposure, skincare, and other factors. Maintenance may be needed, and fading does not mean the pigment will disappear completely. What should I expect during healing? Depending on the service, the area may initially look darker or more defined, with temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, or flaking. Surface healing and final color settling are different stages. We’ll provide service-specific aftercare and explain when to assess your healed result. Can I return to work, exercise, or swim afterward? Your restrictions depend on the treatment and your work or daily activities. Exercise, swimming, soaking, sun exposure, and products applied to the area may need to be limited during healing. Tell us about upcoming travel, events, or workouts so we can help you plan your appointment. Are there risks? Yes. Tattooing carries risks, including infection, allergic reactions, scarring, and unwanted pigment results. We review relevant risks, suitability, and aftercare before treatment so you can make an informed decision. How much do services cost, and what is included? Pricing varies by service, treatment area, complexity, and the number of sessions needed. Review our current service listings or contact us for guidance. Before treatment, we’ll clarify your quoted price, included visits, and whether follow-ups or future maintenance cost extra. Can I use insurance for 3D areola restoration? We do not submit insurance claims on your behalf. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurer. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your plan and are not guaranteed. Having an NPI does not guarantee reimbursement. Will my results look natural? Our goal is a result that complements your features and preferences. We plan color, placement, and design with you before beginning. Healed results vary with skin, existing pigment, the treatment area, and aftercare. Does treatment hurt? Comfort levels vary by person and treatment area. You may feel scratching, vibration, or tenderness. We’ll explain what to expect and discuss suitable comfort measures before treatment; we cannot promise a pain-free experience. I Questions? Erika John

I spent years in service, and honestly, I still see this work as a mission. At Revive Ink Studio, I bring a veteran’s focus and an artist’s eye to permanent makeup, scalp micropigmentation, scar camouflage, and 3D areola restoration. I’m a details person, so I take my time getting things just right. My favorite part is the moment you look in the mirror and see you again. You’ll never be just another appointment here.

Shealynn Hebert at Revive Ink Studio, LLC in Madison, AL

Shealynn Hebert

Shealynn is the kind of artist who goes quiet when she’s in the zone, and that’s when the magic happens. She’s naturally gifted, a little introverted, and delightfully quirky once you get her talking (ask her about anything she’s obsessed with this week). Her work includes permanent makeup, scalp micropigmentation, and 3D areola restoration. Her background in phlebotomy gave her steady hands and a calm, reassuring presence, and her artist’s eye notices everything, from the perfect arch of a brow to the subtle shading that makes a result look real. She’ll talk through your vision with you, keep things relaxed, and quietly turn it into something beautiful.
